Hey there! I’m Skylar Bruner, the creative behind the lens. I believe that photography is about more than just taking pictures—it’s about telling your story. Whether it’s a quiet family moment, a candid laugh between friends, or the spark between a couple, I’m here to capture it all in a way that feels true to who you are.
I’m passionate about creating an experience that’s relaxed, fun, and meaningful, so you can be your authentic self in front of the camera. When I’m not shooting, you’ll find me working as an X-ray tech with the most amazing company or cuddled up on the couch with my loving husband and 4 amazing children! I am always looking for inspiration in the world around me.

Frequently asked questions
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
All you have to do is come dressed in something YOU feel good in, and leave the rest to me. I’ll handle posing, including showing you references so you feel confident. Each picture is carefully edited to highlight all of your BEST qualities (which is all of them!). We can go over the pictures during your shoot, so by the end you have the perfect gallery to hold on to forever.
Can we meet before the session?
Yes, I’d love to! In person or virtually, meeting ahead of time helps us get to know each other, talk through your vision and go over any questions.
Can I request specific poses or shots?
Absolutely! If there are certain poses or moments you’d like, just let me know and feel free to share any ideas. I’ll also guide you throughout the session so you feel natural and relaxed.
Do you help with planning our engagement session?
Absolutely! From choosing the perfect location to styling tips and picking outfits, I’ll guide you through the entire process.
What happens if the weather is unfavourable for an outdoor shoot?
Weather happens, especially here in Texas! During the rainy months I leave open days for makeup shoots, and I’m always checking the forecast and will keep in touch if anything comes up. I’ll never photograph in extreme conditions, but I’m always open to a light rainy-day shoot. No stress!
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes, I do! I love capturing the beauty of new places and the stories they tell. Just let me know where you’re headed, and we can discuss the details!
Do you have a recommended videographer?
Yes! I highly recommend one if you’d like your day captured in both photos and motion. I work with some talented videographers I trust and would be happy to recommend someone who fits your style.
How long till I receive the final photos?
Depending on the session, turnaround time is 2–6 weeks. Please reach out if you have questions!
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
